Parramatta weapon Maika Sivo had to be helped from the field early in the Eels' 32-16 win over the Cowboys after suffering a suspected MCL injury.
The incident occurred in the 25th minute as Sivo started an Eels set deep in Parramatta territory, the winger getting his right leg twisted in an awkward tackle.
The Eels will undoubtedly be fearing it's dealt both their top-four chances and title aspirations a crushing blow ahead of finals footy just three weeks away.
"Parramatta fans would hate to see the sight of Maika Sivo being assisted off, up into the dressing room," said Nine commentator Mat Thompson.
Parramatta legend Peter Sterling added: "He gets twisted, it looks bad from the angle, the twist."
NSW Blues coach Brad Fittler agreed.
"He looks in agony," he said.
Sivo was spotted by cameras late in the game on the sidelines in crutches.
The severity of his injury is yet to be confirmed.
MORE TO COME.
