For all those times you've been stuck inside the Capitol during session or committee weeks and lamented having to eat at one of the two cafeterias, here's some good news to start your week: Lobbyist and restauranteur Jeff Sharkey takes over the 10th floor and lower-level eateries today.

Sharkey, owner of Sharkey's Coffee & Bistro Downtown, got the contract to run the Capitol food spots and said today's will be a "temporary opening," following by a redesign of both locations. He said he plans to bring good coffee, good vibes and good food. His popular downtown eatery serves breakfast and lunch – sandwiches, salads, burgers, desserts, coffee, etc.

Here's hoping he brings to the Capitol those sinfully good cookies and muffins. A little something to sweeten those long days of committees and floor debates…
