Gov. Charlie Crist has added two more names to the list he's considering for a U.S. Senate appointment: U.S. Rep. C.W. Bill Young of St. Petersburg and George LeMieux, his former chief of staff.
So to review, Crist has asked six people to submit questionnaires for gubernatorial appointments, including former U.S. Attorney Roberto Martinez, former Secretary of State Jim Smith, state Rep. Jennifer Carroll, University of North Florida President John Delaney. He also approached U.S. Rep. Lincoln Diaz-Balart, who turned him down.
Crist interviewed Delaney and Carroll in Jacksonville today and is going to talk to LeMieux when he gets back to Tallahassee.
