Florida Trend has a smart analysis of the U.S. Senate candidates personal wealth — though the most loaded guy in the race, Democrat Jeff Greene, hasn't filed his form yet.
Unlike the disclosure forms filed by state candidates, the federal forms don't require candidates to pinpoint their net worth and allows them to list a range of values for their assets, instead of exact amounts. But Florida Trend unearthed some interesting nuggets:
Gov. Charlie Crist reports his wife, Carole Rome, has between $2 million and $4.35 million in assets. That doesn't include her $4 million condo on Fisher Island.
Former House Speaker Marco Rubio is still paying off student loans totaling between $100,001 and $250,000.
Other than a joint bank account, all of the assets of U.S. Rep. Kendrick Meek of Miami are in his wife's name. Leslie Meek is an administrative law judge in Washington.
